The Roundup is a free, editor-curated web directory — at the moment 794 websites gathered into 22 sections, each one read and filed by a person. We work the way the best magazines do: an editor decides what belongs and where, so you get a considered shortlist rather than an algorithm's best guess. Think of every section as a standing column that we keep adding to.
How we review & file sites
Each submission is looked over by hand before it goes live. We confirm the site is real and reachable, file it under the section that actually fits, and lift a short, honest summary straight from the page so you know what you are clicking before you click it. Malware, deceptive pages and thin doorway sites do not make the cut.
Outbound links carry rel="nofollow" — The Roundup is an editorial index, not a link-trading scheme. Curating by hand is exactly what keeps the directory readable instead of letting it fill up with spam.
